No Time To Gather Du$t

I think there are a few great feelings in record collecting. Scoring something on your 'Wants' list for way less than what you expected to pay; getting an album that completely lives up to the hype; scoring a rare variant of something when you expected the common press etc. But today I am talking about one of those great feelings in record collecting: buying some record with little expectation and being blown away a little. Without more introduction I give you:

Angel Du$t - A.D. - React! Records // Reaper Records - 1st Press - Black /1000

All of the variants for this record looked great, and all of them went along with the artwork quite nicely. I would've loved a copy on Pink, but this time I was simply just late to the game.

D(B) - Side // Back Cover

A // D centre labels to go with the AD logo on each side. I guess having this variant keeps everything on the same two colours?
The back cover of this LP is cool, that band photo is on a couple of A.D. t-shirts. The track-listing separates well too, with A.D. and A.D.D. being little instrumental introductions to each side of the record. When I say little, the whole LP clocks in at under 15 minutes at a guess, which completely works in it's favour as it means it gets multiple spins a day without any time being taken up as such.

On to the insert. Well, printed dust sleeve. You get the idea by now right?
Keeping things plain and simple. React! logo and address one side, Reaper logo and address the other. As far as a split release goes, this one sounded pretty neat with both labels getting an exclusive colour /400 each. But as it's already on it's 2nd press those variants are most likely long gone!

Other side of the insert.

All the lyrics, and then a bunch of information like band personnel and recording credits. Oddly enough, this is duplicated on the back cover of the record. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it would have been nice to have all the information on the back cover and then maybe have the lyrics a little bigger on the insert? But what do I know?

Whilst we're on the topic of Angel Du$t, why not kill two birds with one stone?

Angel Du$t - Xtra Raw - React! Records - 2nd Press - Yellow /700

Back Cover // B-Side

There was also a 1st Press on Yellow, but the centre labels were changed up a little for this press. 1st Press has Yellow labels, this press has Black. Both presses are now sold out I think so maybe a repress is due?
Back Cover splits the tracks by flipping the font for the B-Side. That React! Records logo is so Edge haha!

Insert.

From Xtra Raw to the LP they've added another member (I'm assuming 2nd guitar) namely 'Cheddar Quick'. Aside from that, recording, mastering and graphics credits. Pretty much all you need for a debut release!

Other side of the insert.
Lyrics and not much else going on but as I say; for a debut release there's really not an awful lot else that you need.

Finally, both together.

This is kind of a gateway for me into more modern American Hardcore. With so many records to buy, it's hard to dip into every genre (especially with postage costs being such a downside); and I fully appreciate labels like Triple B, React! and Lockin' Out so maybe it's time to start biting the bullet and making some bulk orders.

Thanks for reading!
